Teaching reading groups begin Sept. 17

The Teaching Academy and the Center for Instructional Excellence invite instructors to join Purdue's faculty teaching and learning reading groups fall semester. This semester features two different reading groups meeting once a month 1:30-3 pm.

Tuesdays Sept. 17, Oct. 15, Nov. 5 and Dec. 3 is reading Enhancing Learning through the Scholarship of Teaching and Learning: The Challenges and Joys of Juggling by Kathleen McKinney.

Thursdays Sept. 19, Oct. 17, Nov. 7 and Dec. 5 is reading Engaging Students as Partners in Learning and Teaching: A Guide for Faculty by Allison Cook-Sather, Catherine Bovill, and Peter Felten.

The reading groups bring together faculty from around the campus in small groups to read the books – provided by the Teaching Academy -- over the semester and meet monthly to discuss them.
