STATEMENT OF STANDARD

Duplex printing is a feature of printers that allows the automatic printing of a sheet of paper on both sides. Purdue IT supported network printers which have the duplex feature will be configured to print duplex by default.

REASON FOR STANDARD

Sustainability efforts at Purdue are broad. Because reduction of paper usage is a positive, forward step in sustainability, Purdue IT customers are encouraged to contribute to the University sustainability effort by conserving their printing output. Duplex printing encourages this effort.
