Questions about Brightspace? Start here

Instructors and faculty across Purdue are preparing for the fall semester by creating their courses in the new D2L Brightspace learning management system.

On Aug. 24, access to Blackboard Learn will end for West Lafayette and Purdue Northwest courses (Purdue Fort Wayne  will have access through the fall semester). Deadlines for PWL and PNW instructors and faculty to request content migration out of the old system have passed; those who have questions about accessing old content can send an email to itap@purdue.edu – but new requests for content transfers are unlikely to take place by the start of the fall semester.

Workshops, consultations and job-aid documents are available for those who have questions about teaching with Brightspace. Click on the appropriate campus below to learn more:

A new webpage has been developed with resources, including how-to guides for instructors and learners, to help answer a wide range of questions about Brightspace.  Go to www.purdue.edu/brightspace to learn more.

Teaching and Learning Technologies is hosting virtual drop-in help sessions and consultations to help faculty and instructors prepare to teach this fall. Those seeking a one-on-one consultation can contact tlt@purdue.edu. Due to the high demand of requests for help, faculty and instructors are encouraged to attend one of the drop-in help sessions scheduled for this month – attending a session can help answer many of the questions instructors or faculty have about setting up their course for the fall semester.
