Visual Studio Pro 2017 is available to faculty on University owned computers and open access student computer labs as part of the Purdue Imagine Standard program, formerly known as DreamSpark Standard, and may download the installer through Community Hub. Staff may purchase a license by contacting SHI, Software House International, at edgov@shi.com. A copy of the installer can be requested following the purchase by submitting a request to the Purdue IT Service Portal. Please attach a copy of the order confirmation from SHI when requesting the installer.
Students and Faculty may obtain Visual Studio Pro for their personally owned computers at no charge via the Microsoft Imagine program. Microsoft Imagine software is available through OnTheHub.
Microsoft Imagine Premium products, including Visual Studio Premium, is available through OnTheHub, to faculty and students of eligible departments.
Purdue IT offers limited support of this product, covering issues with software installation and licensing. Please submit a request to the Purdue IT Service Portal with details, including the exact text of any warnings received and the steps during installation or use where the issue arises.
