Who is eligible for an Adobe Creative Cloud and Acrobat DC license?
The ETLA license extends to University use for Purdue faculty and staff (student employees are not covered). A Shared Device License installation can be used on multi-user University-owned machines used by student employees.
Are students eligible for discounts on Adobe products?
Yes. Students can subscribe to Adobe Creative at an academically priced rate from Adobe at https://www.adobe.com/creativecloud/buy/students.html.
If I am eligible for a Creative Cloud license, where can it be installed?
Faculty and staff may install on two computers; one University-owned and one personally owned after being added to the Adobe Enterprise console. Students may install on a personally owned machine after purchasing a subscription through Adobe.
Do I need to uninstall old versions of Photoshop, InDesign, or the Creative Suites to install these products?
No; different versions of the products can co-exist, but there is likely to be no need for older versions to remain on machines.
Is there a cost for the license? How is it funded?
ETLA licenses are funded by departmental IT and recharged to faculty and staff based on usage. Please follow-up with your departmental IT for a quote. Students subscriptions through Adobe for personal use receive a standard academic discounted of $19.99 per month.
Where can I get the Creative Cloud software?
Departmental IT can download current installers from Community Hub. Faculty and staff should follow-up with departmental IT about having the products installed on their University-owned, supported and non-supported computers. For personally owned computers, once faculty and staff have been added to the Adobe Enterprise Dashboard, products can be downloaded from https://www.adobe.com/creativecloud/catalog/desktop.html
What is not included? How do I get other Adobe products?
Purdue's ETLA includes Acrobat DC Professional and Creative Cloud. A full list of Creative Cloud products is listed on the Adobe website. No products outside of the Creative Cloud suite (such as Captivate, EchoSign, DPS, or the Elements products) are included in this agreement.
