In today’s digital environment, phishing scams are more sophisticated than ever, targeting students through emails, social media, and other online platforms. On Wednesday, April 16, from 1:00-2:00 p.m. EDT, Purdue IT is hosting a webinar “Digital Self-Defense: Preventing Phishing and Email Scams” to help Purdue University students recognize and defend against these cyber attacks.
Starting at 9 a.m. on Friday, March 21, 2025, Purdue IT will enable Duo Verified Push notifications for Purdue University services utilizing Purdue Single Sign-On (SSO). Examples include Brightspace, SuccessFactors, MyPurdue, etc. This will primarily impact faculty, staff and students at Purdue University West Lafayette and Purdue Northwest.
A security upgrade for Box, a cloud-based collaboration application that allows for secure file storage and collaboration, is scheduled for Wednesday, March 19. As a result, the Box service will be temporarily unavailable for approximately 30 minutes between 5:00-6:00 p.m. ET.
Effective Friday, March 14, Purdue IT is implementing phase one of changes to the currently visible-to-all Microsoft 365 sensitivity labels.
Effective March 10 at approximately 10 p.m., Purdue IT will implement a new single sign-on (SSO) using multifactor authentication (MFA) for Fort Wayne faculty, staff and students.
