Purdue University and Microsoft Corporation have entered into an agreement for volume licensing of commonly used Microsoft software. The Microsoft Enrollment for Education Solutions (EES) licenses these products for use on all University-owned or leased computers at the West Lafayette, Purdue Northwest, and Purdue Ft. Wayne campuses.
On the West Lafayette campus, the University is funding the cost of the license leasing program centrally and making the software available to all schools, departments, divisions, and units. Under the terms of the agreement, the University may install any version of several Microsoft software products on University-owned or leased computers without any additional license expense to the University or the departments.
An additional benefit of the agreement allows each Purdue faculty and staff member to purchase and use the selected Microsoft products on one computer that he or she owns, for University-related work.
