On July 25, Purdue IT will implement the rollout of Sensitive and Restricted labels within Microsoft 365. This is part of the university’s plan to move toward approved storage of sensitive and restricted data in Secure SharePoint sites within Microsoft 365, which was communicated in March 2025. Sensitive and Restricted labels should be applied to files and emails where sensitive and restricted data is involved. Addition of these labels is the next step before releasing the SharePoint restricted data solution later this summer.
